Last Minute Weather-Related Program Changes

Bob Gamble at workThe icy precipitation, and threat of more to follow, has cancelled our plans for worship with Rev. Bob Gamble tonight (Thursday, 2/21, 7:00 p.m., Hundley Hall).  This seems like such unwelcome news to us, we are going to see whether we can reschedule for Friday, 2/22, 7:00 p.m., Hundley Hall.  (There’s no harm in trying, anyway!)

According to the LPTS answering machine, right now plans are for entirely normal Seminary operations tomorrow, Friday, 2/22.  For the Women’s Center, that means we’re planning to have lunch with Rev. Bob Gamble, and to host his extended time for dialogue with interested students, as scheduled.  (Of course, as we have been counseled to say before, by James, this is all contingent on the cooperative will of God.)

More details and information as they become available.  Our thoughts and prayers are with Rev. Gamble as he drives to Louisville from Memphis this afternoon!

About Ha_Qohelet

Ha_Qohelet is a transliteration of Hebrew definite article plus a feminine participle, all together meaning "the (feminine) one who assembles" or who calls together. Qohelet is the title of one of the books of the Hebrew Scripture, known in English as Ecclesiastes. The Women's Center at LPTS feels the epithet of Qohelet is a fitting one for what we do and are. The Women's Center is, indeed, a caller-together, a caller-to-wisdom, and an assembler -- of people, of ideas, of actions, and ultimately, we hope, of transformations in the world. In this context, Ha_Qohelet is the Director of the Women's Center, and Editor-in-Chief of Wimminwise.
