Today in the Women’s Center

Severe winter weather has occasioned some changes in our program this week, but as of 7:00 a.m. we are planning:
Rev. Bob Gamble’s lunch-time presentation in the Women’s Center as scheduled. We will serve a light lunch beginning at 12:00 p.m., and Bob’s presentation will begin around 12:30. Bob will be spending the afternoon in the Center, and has time on his calendar for conversations with interested students, about his philosophy of mission, mission opportunities, more about the situation in Ukraine, or other topics. We hope whoever wishes will feel free to take advantage of this rare opportunity to speak with someone who spends most of his time “on the front lines.”
We will meet at 7:00 p.m. in Hundley Hall for worship! A few details may have changed between last night and tonight but, confident in Jesus’ promise that wherever two or three are gathered there he will be, we feel it will be well worth getting together.

About Ha_Qohelet

Ha_Qohelet is a transliteration of Hebrew definite article plus a feminine participle, all together meaning "the (feminine) one who assembles" or who calls together. Qohelet is the title of one of the books of the Hebrew Scripture, known in English as Ecclesiastes. The Women's Center at LPTS feels the epithet of Qohelet is a fitting one for what we do and are. The Women's Center is, indeed, a caller-together, a caller-to-wisdom, and an assembler -- of people, of ideas, of actions, and ultimately, we hope, of transformations in the world. In this context, Ha_Qohelet is the Director of the Women's Center, and Editor-in-Chief of Wimminwise.
