Qumran mikvah shows earthquake damageSince the most recent earthquake to affect the Louisville, Kentucky area occurred this morning at 5:37 a.m., just as I was sitting down to update Wimminwise, it seemed to deserve some mention.

I don’t attribute any causal connection to the coincidence. 

Though we do like to shake things up at the Women’s Center.  But not typically like that.

Still, I did find this nice image of a mikvah at Qumran that was destroyed by an earthquake in 31 BC at  I’m guessing that earthquake was stronger than ours (5.4; it felt like about a 3 to me, but the epicenter — New Salem, Illinois — was pretty far away).
